SEPTA Correctional Facility is a secure, grant funded, district community-based correctional facility, with forty employees, housing up to 104 adult male felony offenders who are eligible for community supervision. SEPTA Correctional Facility was opened in March 1990 in response to the severe overcrowding of the state penal system. SEPTA is fully funded through the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction and is locally governed by the SEPTA Correctional Facility Governing Board whose membership is appointed by the Judicial Advisory Board and the member counties’ Boards of County Commissioners.

 

Facility Nurse

The Facility Governing Board (FGB) of SEPTA Correctional Facility is seeking a professional in the role of Facility Nurse.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current certifications and licensure as an RN or LPN.
  • Have formal training or relative job experience for the position.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must complete Unarmed Self-Defense Training.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

The Facility Nurse provides routine medical care for the facility’s adult male felony offenders including medication monitoring, medical records maintenance and medical supply maintenance.

Operations Specialist

The Facility Governing Board (FGB) of SEPTA Correctional Facility is seeking a professional in the role of Operations Specialist.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to grasp and apply Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other program ideologies.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Have formal training or relative job experience for the position.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must complete Unarmed Self-Defense Training.
  • Associate Degree in criminology or other related social services field preferred.

The Operations Specialist provides facility safety and security for the facility’s adult male felony offenders.

Food Service Coordinator

The Facility Governing Board (FGB) of SEPTA Correctional Facility is seeking a professional in the role of Food Service Coordinator.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have a proven track record of effective problem-solving skills.
  • Must have strong interest in offender rehabilitation.
  • Must be comfortable with various windows based software applications.
  • A strong background in corrections preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.

The facility Food Service Coordinator is responsible for supervising and coordinating food preparation for the agency’s adult male felony offenders.

Food Service Specialist

The Facility Governing Board (FGB) of SEPTA Correctional Facility is seeking a professional in the role of Food Service Specialist.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduation, equivalency, or College Degree in food service preferred.
  • Six months full time work experience involving food preparation and/or food service in an institutional setting (e.g., hospital, nursing home, school, correctional facility, military facility).
  • Successful completion of a local and national criminal records check including fingerprinting.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Must complete Unarmed Self-Defense TrainingThe facility Food Service Specialist is responsible for setting up, serving, and/or assisting in serving food items on resident’s tray line and cafeteria line while adhering to policies and procedures including, but not limited to, portion control, quality control, and sanitation standards.
